Making A Computer?

Your video card is a "Geforce2MX" ... to be honest you can play HL2 on that ... you wont have an enjoyable experience though. To be able to play HL2 well you'll want to upgrade to a "GeForce3 Ti500" or better and prefereably to at least a "GeForce4 Ti4200" (Radeon 9500 or better) or better ... since both of those cards are old and hard to find, something like a "GeForce FX 5500" or better (Radeon 9600 or better)

Ahhhhhh...a fellow human. :) Another quick question, the kid that I was talking to said that I might need a new processor/motherboard. Is this true or could I just stick the graphics card in there and run HL2 fine? Thanks!

1. You can play HL2 as it is.
2. Sure you can buy a new video card but that wouldnt be worth it if the system is bottlenecked by the CPU/mobo*

*not all video cards will work on older mobos

So, with my current computer setup what would you say is the maximum graphics card that I could use? If I wanted to use of the more modern graphics cards (Ex. Radeon 9600) what else would I have to change? Thank you!

Dunno we'd need to know ur specs (i.e., mobo and psu) :)

Can I find that out by typing "dxdiag" and if so, what's it under? If not, how can I find it? Thank you guys so much for all of your help!

Edit: How would I find out what my mother board and processor is? Thank you.
