Missing icon

I have 3 browsers on my win 7 computer. I have IE, Firefox, chrome. I need a desktop icon for IE so i can use all 3 browsers! can i get help? :confused:
 
when its onto the task-bar, if its open it makes a whole new thing on the task-bar, not turn highlighted like its supposed to do. so i would have the "un opened IE thats pinned, and then an open window thats on the taskbar in another place.

windows 7 home premium 32 bit
 
Right click on the IE shortcut and unpin it from the task bar, then when you open IE right click on the icon that shows up in the task bar and then re-pin it.

If you are having the same issue with other programs, it's worth a shot. my guess is that for some reason the shortcut you had on your taskbar was being seen as a different program then the version of IE you were launching before, hence why I suggested you try to unpin the original and pin the new one that shows up.
