modify HP Pavilion P7 1110

I bought this desktop just now, and upon starting it realized that I had to sign in to previous owners Google
Google account (which I cannot do), or set up my own Google account, which I do not wish
to do. What I would like to do is remove Google's control of the system, without formatting and/or reinstalling
an OS from scratch, and customize it to my own liking.
Any help is appreciated.

You mean Microsoft account? You really need to wipe and reinstall windows fresh. You can reset pc but make sure you remove everything.

Hi John,
No, I mean Google. It loads ChromeOSFlex from the get go, and requires that
you log in; but I don't have a Google account.
I'd go for the reset option; but I can't find the way to do that. I'm not sure what OS is on.
it 7,10 or 11.

Is there a browse as guest option available? If not, you'll have to research on how to reload that operating system. I'm not familiar with it but generally it will require a Google account to save history and bookmarks and other important things. That system is quite old as well so windows 11 would not work on it.

Hi again,
I've discovered how to access the system Bios, which I suspect will not help me to get rid of
the OS Flex, which, before having posted the original question, I hadn't realized was an OS. I'm just
not up on this stuff. So, it seems like I have to replace the OS with something else; unless I can access
it somehow from a USB or DVD containing a program that will allow me to get passed the login screen.

The only windows OS that will work on that is Windows 10 which is out of support already. So not sure what you want to do with it.

Hi John,
I've decided to bite the bullet and see if I can use the OS Flex. To that end I have signed up
with Google, which has allowed me full access to the system. I'll try it for a while and see how it
goes. Thanks again for you help.

Dang that PC's about 15 years old, you could also run some Linux action if you wanted more features. I personally wouldn't really trust some custom installation that someone else did and otherwise install clean just for more peace of mind about rootkits etc.
