MSI as a GPU manufacturer

I know nvidia makes the GPU. I should have said "Video Card" in place of GPU. Anyways, never had any problems with them?

I know MSI makes rock-solid motherboards so I would assume their video cards are rock-solid as well.

I've run both NVidia and ATI models with MSI as the brand name of the card on more then one build. In fact I'm still going with an MSI card on the new build here. Never seen one ounce of problems with that brand of card regardless of who made the vpu chip. And yes I've also compared core and memory clocks on MSI to Asus, Sapphire, BFG, EVGA along with others to see theirs with the fastest at times. Asus amd EVGA also compete closely at second place often along with BFG and Sapphire.

I have had a MSI 7600GT and it was a great card it was a double slot cooler and ran cool and played games at great settings.

Thanks guys! I think when I get a little more money saved up I'll go with that GTX. It seems that all of MSI's cards run at speeds higher than the rest of the same cards, and are cheaper priced.

For spending $500 on a card you want a quality card for sure! MSI would be one of the few looked at for this type of price range here. That model has a 384mhz memory interface as well as the core and memory clock information you have been looking over. At the present the NVidia lineup is intended more for performance while some of the new ATI DX10 models some of the HD 2900s in particular see a 512mhz memory interface. ATI is still image quality geared while NVidia is more of a serious gamer's choice. Either way MSI takes a lead over other brands quite often.
