That's cool. I only have three computers in my house, My PC, which is in the sig, My parent's PC=2.4 P4/512/80, and my bro's Dell laptop=1.66 Core Duo/1 GB/100.

I always wanted to have some older machines to fool with.

yeahh, i bought the GX110 4 $75 last summer, it has 667MHZ, 256MB RAM, not bad i guess.

the Latitude was $177.50, $202 with shipping form Ebay.

$177 4 my Solo.

the GX240 i bought 4 $40 lol, it was all apart.

and got the E-Machines 4 free, from my cousin.

the Inspiron was also $177. around.

sure, cause those guys running PowerEdge 1855 really are 'below' average ;)
Dell are so big and powerful for one reason, they make good quality affordable comuters, to cater for all requirements.
There servers are renound to being good quality and having good SLA's
They do make nice servers. They also make good desktops. They also make good high quality desktops. Once more, they make good laptops. The problem is that ANY OEM desktop will make it tougher to customize after built, than your own custom PC. This is usually due to MicroATX cases, lack of space for fans and whatnot.

agreed, but then that wasnt really the issue under discussion.

Ya they do have good servers, but there pc's have their limits. Dell's are good comps for businesses though, thats all we have at my work and they work fine.
