Decided I need a new computer. It's gonna be for gaming and general use. What I have is currently under my budget and I believe will be a pretty good computer (hoping it will be at least)

I'm using the computer mainly for gaming, but it will also be used for school work and such. I'm trying to keep it under 1200

What's the difference between the two cards?

the 460 is based on a new chip. it performs the same as or better than the 465, consumes less power, and runs much cooler, all for the same price :P

you might want to go with either a phenom ii 955 or a cheaper six core and spend more money on the motherboard. do note however that with an amd cpu/based motherboard, you won't be able to run sli. if you plan on doing a multi-gpu configuration in the future (near future mostly) you might want to consider running either an ati card or going over to intel. but if that sin't something you are planning on at all, then you'll be good.

465 is a cut down GF100 card, the 460 is based off of the GF104 architecture, faster and more effecient, with less heat output. The GTX 460 1GB is also faster than the 465.

1090T is a waste, 1055T is better value for money. Also, i would go with this combo of mobo+cpu:

HDD, $16 off with coupon code listed on page, not sure why you are looking at a lenovo since it is not a very good drive, not very fast, and only has a one year warranty. This seagate has a 3 year warranty, larger(1TB), and much faster:

Does he need 750W? He can't SLI on that board, right?

NM... I'm guessing that he can on the board Bomberboy linked.

NM... AMD chipset on Bomber's board... no SLI... got it

SLI won't be possible, but if he upgrades to an ATI card in the future(such as whatever comes after the 6000 series), the board supports crossfireX. Hard to beat the price that the seasonic built XFX units are at this point in time as well.

And that the XFX is modular, has tighter regulation, and is more effecient. Also, its the same price before rebate, the XFX unit has a 15% off coupon code currently. $109.99 is pretty much what the 750TX goes for these days, its an older CWT platform that is starting to show its age.
 
to op, if you decide to go ati, for a little bit more money you can get a 5850. excellent card and will be able to crossfire with that board in the future.
 
Wow you guys just dropped the price on my computer by like a $150+ and everyone is being so helpful and fast at responding. I'm so glad I came to this site... I... I think I love you guys. BTW I'm really new to building my own computers and I have very little knowledge of brands and products and how good they are.

What exactly is a 5850 and what do you mean when you say "crossfire with that board in the future"?

are you familiar with crossfire/sli? if not, basically it is using a second graphics card in conjunction with another graphics card to gain performance without buying a completely new card. ati has crossfire and nvidia has sli. down the road (maybe 0-1 years), is that maybe something you'd do?

a 5850 is a graphics card made by (actually called an HD 5850).
 
Sounds like something I would like to do, but I will be transferring to NIU next fall so I don't know if I will have the money for that.
 
...and assuming you need an operating system, you might as well save $10

and an example of a 5850 You don't need to get both at the same time. If you go ATI (The manufacturer of the 5850) now... it just means the option will be available should you be interested at some later point.
