My Last Attempt....

Please don't bump threads after just 30 minutes, you have to take into account that we all are in a lot of different times zones so someone who can help you might be asleep or at work.
 
The problem is you wrote all 1's and 0's to your computer does bios see the cdrom? If it does thats a start you can set it to boot from cd and nothing else to see if that helps any.

I have it set to boot from the CD-rom first, BIOS sees both but only one drive works out of Windows. I still get this msg. If this has kept it from reading my optical drives, why would they make programs like this when they know we are reinstalling an OS? How do I get it to boot from the Windows XP CD?

are you pressing any key when it asks to boot from the CD....? Also see if there is a boot menu (like hit F9 for boot menu) at start up.

It is F12, I got into the Boot Menu and I chose the IDE CD-rom Device option and got the same msg, "F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup".
