My monitor just simply wont work

Did you have the PC off before originally pulling out components? I reread the original post but it sounded like it turned off after you did something inside of the case already.

To the person who just replied, I can get the email for it, but your post didn't show up on the website. Can you try re-posting? If that link actually works, then I will be thrilled!!!!
It was spam unrelated to your thread (likely malware) and has been since deleted.

So the main multitude of cables which I don't know the name of, got wiggled a little then it turned off. This has happened to me before and it would work fine. What does this mean?

So you were messing around with the parts with the machine turned on? Thats a big no no. Never ever mess with the insides of the pc while its on, damage can and will occur as you now have realized. My guess stands at a new motherboard, at least. Possibly new ram as well. Try some different ram first though.

But how are you so sure that it is indeed because that happened? If there is a way without replacing parts, then I really want that to happen.

You have bad components and that is why its not booting up. Again, messing with components while pc is on isn't a good idea. You will fry something. Hell, I won't even remove a data or power cable from a data drive without turning off pc first. I don't know where you got that removing things while is pc is on wouldn't damage anything.

Would there be a chance that there needs to be different ram? If so, then would I be able to use old ram sticks just to test to see if it works? I have around 512 MB RAM in one of my old computers and would it be indicative of whether it would work or not?

So could I use old ram from a different computer in the mean time and just to see if it works?

As long as it's the same type of RAM that will work in that computer. DDR RAM does not work in a DDR2 or DDR3 motherboard and vice versa.

Ok, so I do have Kingston Hyper Fury X 2x4 GB RAM coming in the mail soon, but it should work with old DDR3 RAM to test to see if it works?

Remove and reinsert the 24 pin power connector (the big one you wiggled). Also ensure you have the power to your GPU.

My GPU has power going to it because it has lights on it and it will light up when power goes to it. And reinserting doesn't help out right now.

Power comes from the PCIe slot and the GPU power cables. It will still light up even if the cables aren't connected. Check they are.

Well, no not really. I thought about doing that in the case that it was a motherboard issue, but the CPU socket doesn't match my CPU.

As long as you have the correct power supply and a PCIe slot, CPU does not matter.
