My Pet Spider

im just curious because that is almost the build i was going to buy
the only difference was i was going to get 2 500G HDDs an a gigabyte MA790x-DS4 a 650W PSU an ASUS 3870 so they would probley get the same score almost.
when i get my 3870 this weekend if not in a couple of weeks im going to do a benchmark on my rig then i can compare how much better it would have been if i got that rig
 
At the risk of being or sounding like a noob. Whats a spider? Does its have to do with being a quad core?

if u OCed the CPU to 3.0+ u could break 10K ill let u know what i get when i gety my 3870 hopefully thats this weekend if not it will be this month.

you only got 8k with a 3870 :confused:

What are your SM 2.0 and 3.0 scores?

With my x2 5600+ at 3.0ghz and the card at stock i got just over 10k. With my new rig i get 12k.

That doesn't seem right...

i agree with that cos my dads rig got 7015 an thats nothink compaired to his rig
Dads
Pentium D 945 3.4GHz =1664
3G of ram running at 533 CL4
512M3850 this card got S.M2.0 =2912 & HDR/SM3.0 3473
his CPU should be getting about 3347 score
his GPU HDR/SM.3.0 should be around3300
total score should be like 11000-12000
 
OK,what should i do to make my score better..can i tweak some windows or system settings...maybe some driver update..? motherboard settings are at default :D here are some of my settings any suggestions would be great!

could my harddrive be holding me back i did some performace test wasnt so good...maybe i should return it and get another raptor
