170 is more than i want to spend, because the others with rebates are around 120-130

what does this mean
Stream Processors 320 stream processing units

cuz the Radeon HD 2600XT 512MB is only 120 stream processing units

thnx for the help:)

That means that the HD2900Pro has more capacity to process graphics I'm sure. If you want to play the latest games, I wouldn't recommend anything below the HD3850 or the HD2900Pro.

The Radeon HD2600XT or the 8600GTS which is its Nvidia counterpart, will let you play the latest games in Low-Medium settings with pretty much nice FPS. But if you instead get the HD3850 or the HD2900Pro (which has dropped down in price from ~$300, now $160) you will most likely be able to play games at High settings with more than nice FPS.

But I mean, if you are just the ocassional gamer and you like to edit videos and use other streaming applications, then the 8600 or HD2600 series are pretty much perfect for your needs.

Hope that helped! ;)

na
the HD 2600XT and that tv tuner which all together after $40 in rebates its $165

if i had a job i would have more money and get the 2900 but im lazy and dont feel like it so i only got money leftover from christmas

But if you want to be able to play those games you mentioned, It would be wiser to spend the $160 on the HD2900Pro. Anyways, it's your call :) ;)

Then it would be easier to save for the $40 TV tuner card IMO.

i decided to get a new motherboard because someone said that my PCI express slot only runs at x4

do u think this mobo is worth buying, since it has a $50 rebate, or would it be wiser to spend a couple more bucks.

Wait no, your memory is not compatible with the P35 mobo. You need at least PC6400 800Mhz Memory I think.
