...he never said he wanted it for gaming. For schoolwork and internet browsing and maybe the odd DVD here and there a half decent GPU and a half decent CPU would be just fine for him. Most people who buy laptops aren't looking to upgrade their hardware, they just want something that works. Most laptops that do what the OP want to do aren't going to be that expensive, all he's going to need is a 500GB HDD, a dual-core CPU and 3GB or 4GB RAM, nothing more. Certainly doesn't need a quad-core, more than 4GB RAM or an expensive GPU.slipx44 said:I need it for school work
