Have you open up and see if the sata cable connected. Make sure its not loose. So I finally got vista for my new computer, but I can't boot the DVD drive to get it working. I went into the BIOS and the boot option, but only "floppy" appears in the boot priority category. The hard drive doesn't appear either. Are the SATA connections loose or something?
Lol, thanks chris. Actually, the hard drive is completely blank, so it's a clean installation; there's no OS installed.
I got the drives to work. Apparently it had something to do with the two red SATA connections on my mobo, so I switched them to ordinary yellow SATA connections. So the Vista installation is running now, but it froze, with the Vista background on. Is something wrong with the cd? :|
