Instead of a full tower case and liquid cooling wouldn't you rather a faster computer, better graphics, etc?Huh...Ok I guess I'm really an idiot...in that cause I guess I need the SATA plugs now. all I need is a new Tower case and some more RAM...? Oh. and I could get liquid cooling with the money I saved.
Going to a large case isn't going to make the fans quiet. They are either dirty, dying, or some combo of those.Well. I'm good on Graphics since I got an MSI 1070. Plugs are everywhere and the fans make an awful noise.
Either get another kit of existing or sell existing and get this kit.Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) https://www.amazon.com/Ballistix-PC3-12800-240-Pin-Memory-BLS2KIT4G3D1609DS1S00/dp/B006WAGGUK/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483458951&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Ballistix+Sport+16GB+(2+x+8GB)+240-Pin+DDR3+SDRAM+DDR3+1600+(PC3+12800)+Desktop+Memory+Model+BLS2KIT8G3D1609DS1S00&th=1
What I linked you was the same speed 1600mhz. I wouldn't get a full tower case, depending on power supply you may have problems with cable lengths. Just get a good midtower case with good ventilation. You probably have cheap fans and they are shot.@johnb35 I thought you shouldn't get two different types of RAM speeds?
Speaking from someone who went from a small mid-tower to a full-tower, you will be kicking yourself if you don't have fully modular psu and extra cables..thats for sure! What I linked you was the same speed 1600mhz. I wouldn't get a full tower case, depending on power supply you may have problems with cable lengths. Just get a good midtower case with good ventilation. What case do you have currently?Ok ok. I guess I can get a cheap air cooler for my CPU. Yeah but they aren't that dirty. They've just been making an annoying noise for a while now. I've tried everything.
It won't be an issue till your cables are too short and you can't connect things..Cool! I'll get those then! @johnb35
@Laquer Head Oh really? Well mine is a non - modular I guess...Doesn't really seem like an issue to me.
If you really wanted to do a closed loop cooler.. I'd go with a Corsair H80i its more suitable for a mid tower. I used one for years!!I have a Thermaltake Versa. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133249
I mean yeah...but it would still be more annoying to remove everything in a small space. And I don't know which plugs can be removed and which need to do something before you remove them.
Could I fit the liquid cooling in that case just if I want to eventually?
