Never Built a Computer Before.

I'm about to go to school for animation and game design, and will absolutely require a computer. I also have always been an avid gamer, and since a young age have wanted to break into computer gaming.

Since I've already dropped all of this money on school, I might as well buy high-end, to prolong inevitable upgrades that will be required in the future. I want to primarily build a gaming laptop, that could handle new games on high settings, and will have ample space and processing power.

I know enough to buy from NewEgg, and have read their guide on buying a notebook/laptop. But other than that, I'm pretty clueless.

I would greatly appreciate input on what you guys think I should buy all together, what is worth shelling out the cash for, etc.

What he's trying to say is that it is impossible to build a laptop from newegg. You can customize a couple, but that's about it. If you want to have great graphics, go for a desktop.
 
Hmm. At one point, I was thinking that I should purchase an AlienWare. But then I had a few people telling me that AW sucks, and that I should buy from NewEgg.

If I were to purchase a pre-built laptop, which company would you guys recommend??

I personally recommend Sager. I've never purchased from them, but I do have a friend that got a pretty decent laptop out of them. Was able to use it for a bit, it seems alright.

If you want a gaming machine, I'd go with this one
