yeah well i wont be getting this for a few months.

when is it coming out? and how much is it expected to be.

The X2 should be out near the end of August. Price will probably be in the $500 range.

i dont want ati haha. i know that sounds stupid but seeing as i can afford it id rather go nvidia.

would and 8800gt sli config go alright?

how does the GTX 280 compare to other cards?
another 8800gt would cost half the price of that. so would the performance be worth it?

GTX 280 is currently the fastest single video card

I didn't know that you already have one 8800GT

But personally I would go with GTX 280, because I prefer single video card solution

I really don't think you need an upgrade, your computer is perfectly fine for all games right now, if you really think you need or want a "new build" just stick a HD4870 in there and you're set to go, your computer is fine IMO. ;)

im going to get a pair of gtx 280s to stick in my rig when i build it, the 4870 x2 is rumored to be out around augest 14th, which makes me believe the gtx 280 will drop below 400 dollars, nvidias loss=my gain
