Um seems to be getting better as I go along lol.

Not too bad now lol, for some reason I find that computers have to settle in so to speak lol.

Haha about the benchmarks... Odd thing is I just tried to run PC Mark 05 to get a score to compare with my old computer... and it failed heaps of the tests.. Im about to post a cry for help on that in another topic...

ya, but still could be causing your whole :D computer to run sluggish.. do you have a backup drive ? if so install your os on that play around with it to rule out bad harddrive

Nah I dont... Donated my other (way older drives) when I got the 500 lol. But surely HDD dont just like die randomly? Some of my older ones Ive had for years n years lol.

harddrive do just die. its the oldst tec in your computer excluding ssd. anything with moving parts can go out or show signs of wear it doesnt mater how old it is ..... it can and will go out... the reason im telling you this is because ive had them go out slow like that (get sluggish)performace from my who pc because of one faulty drive

Actually... to be technical the oldest tech in a computer would be the heatsinks, and fans:P Although DRAM ranks up there in age also...

Haha yes.... Well. Ill run a few HDD tests tonight (I have on cd a Seagate tool thingy lol)

Gonna suck if its it.

Well I ran seatools tonight.. Both Short and Long tests and they passed with flying colours.

So who knows about the HDD, Im about to run PC Mark 05 again and we'll see.

One thing Ive noticed is this.
CPUz.jpg

Notice how CPUz says AMD K10, and Socket AM2+ (940)

What does that mean???? Its got nothing to do with my AM3 955?????

Probably has more to do with CPUz not reading it right. Should be Socket AM3 (938). CPUz calls mine a AM2+ and (940) too.
