New Computer Won't Post

A month or so ago, I decided to build my own computer on newegg. I set out to buy the parts, put it together, and enjoy my new desktop. After setting it all up and turning it on, nothing happens. It does not go into BIOS or anything. I've tried using multiple monitors but nothing happens. I really need help because I have no way to debug this process.

I'm not really a hardware person when it comes to computers. However, software is where I shine. The reason why it has taken me this long to seek help is that I have been really busy with school getting a Bachelor's in Computer Science.

If anyone can identify exactly what the problem is that would be awesome. If it matters I also am using another hard drive from a crashed computer as well as one I got from and a completely new one I got from a friend that ordered a bunch to sell cheap. I don't really have the models available because the crashed computer was premade and bought at a store and the second I would have to look inside the computer to see its model which I can't do atm.

Here's my list from newegg on the parts I got:

Did you use the brass standoffs between the case and motherboard?

That was my initial thought when it would not show anything, but I haven't got a spare one and didn't even know there was an onboard gpu.

actually i looked at the posted link and that motherboard doesn't have one, but you can get a radeon hd 5450 from newegg for like 30 with a 15+ buck mir.

Do the fans spin up or anything. If not, are you sure you have the case power button wires plugged in the right pins on the motherboard?

Does it actually turn on? +1 Stranglehold. I just built one a week ago for a couple in my town and it didn't turn on and then i realized that the button for the front to turn it on was plugged in in the wrong slot on the motherboard. Maybe that is your problem? And I think that is what Stranglehold meant, but I'm just clarifying.

EDIT: Disregard, I didn't see your other post.

You know that your monitor works right? Have you tried it with another computer to make sure it isn't your monitor? How about the cable you are using to connect them?

I've tried it on multiple monitors that work with the laptop I am currently using. I knew that was one thing I could rule out.

Oh alright. Hmm. How about the port on your motherboard? Check and see if it looks damaged or anything. If not than it is beyond my realm of knowledge, I think, unless I am overlooking something.
