New computer won't turn on!

6850 and yes. My monitor has a VGA cable and so I have it connected to the MoBo and not the video cards DVI port. What are the BIOS settings needed to disable the MoBo display and or is it that I need a DVI-VGA adapter?

Update: I finally got my desktop to connect but to my HDTV. I'm thinking I might need a VGA+DVI adapter in order for my monitor to work with it. Seriously considering just keeping it on my 42" TV though..

If the video card only has dvi and your monitor cable is only vga then yes you need to dvi to vga converter. Most cards already have one of these in the box, check to make sure yours didn't come with it.

Geez, I am so dumb! My video card did provide the adapter and now I'm all set and good to go! Thanks a lot to everyone.

As it gets as far as showing the Window 7 startup page, the next step would be to consider the operating ststem- Is it Corrupted?.

Are you using a hardrive drive that already had windows 7 on it (previous board), if so it could be an incompatability problem, if so your only solution is to wipe the drive and rebuild the software from scratch.
