First of all, no.
Second, even if I do, so what? It's like asking someone "Why do you want a better video card? So you could have higher graphics in your games?"
You obviously don't know much about installing multiple HDs so I would keep quite if I were you.
OMG! I know the VGA is the DX10...
Please read my first message again. I wrote DX10 in the title because I wanted people to understand that I don't need a strong Video Card right now because I'll buy a DX10 card in a few months.
You're not helping me much in this thread... You can keep saying that if you want I don't really care. I'll get my computer either way.
The most expensive of everything? I wish... I would have to have like a 10K budget to do that.
In my opinion, yes, the memory I selected is better. I think that it will overclock much better. By the time you change the video card, and cut the sound card, you can change the case to the Cooler Master Stacker. Also, you don't need anything stronger PSU wise, trust me.
I'm just saying. You said you needed them. I said you didn't. You made up a BS story why you did. That's all. Like I said, I think this whole thread is an exercise in futility. When someone suggests something, you shoot them down and default back to your original drivel.
No, you're right. I've only been doing computers for longer than you've been walking on this planet.
If you're considering RAID with that board, you have two choices. 0 or 1. You said you weren't considering RAID 0. So what are you left with? And how many ways are there to install two HDDs in a RAID 1 configuration? One? Yes. Exactly.
By the way, it's "quiet", not "quite".
So that's why you put "DX10 computer"? That's what I was questioning. Because "computer" has nothing to do with DX10 and I couldn't figure out for the life of me where you were getting at.
I'm sure you will.Besides, someone did offer you help and you completely shot them down. You at least took one of my recommendations, which is good, so don't say I haven't helped. I tried offering you more, but you started coming out with your BS stories, so I just gave up. It is completely evident that you don't want help. You never came here with that in mind.
No, apparently you need about $2500.
Anyways, I have no more to say. Carry on your merry way (by the way, in case you were wondering how I deduced your age, it's because your grammar indicates you are in lower high school level somewhere, but it's impossible to say where, considering the American education system is a complete farce. Which again makes me doubt the sincerity of your request.... Unless you have a fantastic part time job and have been saving up for the last year.
Ok. Carry on. Next time play nice and share your toys with others.
XMS2 memory is designed for overclocking![]()
Wait till the quad core comes out

And the G.Skill aren't?

And I read about all this... They won't be out that soon and when they will probably be super expensive. And actually there's no actual guarantee that they'll be better then the Dual Cores for games. I saw a Q6700 vs. X6800 and there was barely a difference. They even said that they expect the X6800 to slightly lead in next gen games.

I would say that the Corsair XMS2 and the G.Skill you picked are about the same as far as performance, though the G.Skill memory has received some amazing reviews by many companies.
The Core 2 Quadros probably won't be too expensive...
The reason the E6700 and the X6800 are so close in performance yet so far apart in price is this: The X6800 has unlocked multipliers, which allows for very good overclocking.
I was talking about the Q6700 which is a Quad Core CPU.![]()
