Well i just built this rig back in August, you can see my specs below. I use it for gaming and school work, but we all know that typing a word document or searching on Google for homework answers is not that demanding on a system. When it comes to gaming, which I do every day, some days more than others, I have being having a lot of issues. My FPS dropped from solid 60 to 40 in Twisted Treeline on League of Legends, which back on my HD 5870 would never drop, not only is Twisted Treeline the smallest map in the game but League of Legends in itself is not going to Out Power my GPU and my CPU, so that is one reason I know something is wrong. Other more serious reason is because I just bought my first COD game ever, BO2 and 2 times I being playing my whole computer froze and crashed. It didn't crash in terms that the game window closed to desktop but crashed in terms that it Froze with this repeated annoying stock sound and my screen just froze there and I'll admit it was freaking scary and made me panic, Cntl+Alt+Delete WOULD not work neither would Alt+Tab or Alt+F4. At the time when I'm able to play there is this constant jerking for like a second around every 5-10 seconds but not exactly in that rhythm. Its kinda like a jerk, jittery, lag of sorts, however FRAPS FPS remains constant, at least I haven't noticed any drops when this happens. Its like it gets stock in game....very frustrating knowing that it wasn't like this until last 1 or 2 ago, specially with the amount of money I put into this system. My system feels sluggish at times? Like when I type on certain search engines or Windows Search Boxes there is a delay on the PC to write what I'm typing or when I press back space to delete what I have wrote. I don't use torrents so I couldn't have gotten a virus from there. I have Kasperky anti virus as well and I ran every type of scan available, Critical Area, Vulnerable Area and Full Scan. I did this 2 times and nothing came back positive or as a threat.
Things I have done to try to fix this issues
1) Ran Kaspersky Anti virus (No Threats Detected or Viruses)
2) Updated Drivers for Nvidia (Up to date no current Updates Available)
3) Rolled Back Drivers for Nvidia
4) Defragmented
5) Error Check Hard Drive
7) Ran CCcleaner Multiple times.
8) Set GPU OC back to Default/Stock
9) Removed CMOS Battery
10) Cleaned Computer with Air Duster
11) Checked for Drivers
NOTE: My CPU is all Stock, only thing I have OC is my GPU
I'm might have forgotten some stuff but I have tried all this things and nothing has helped. I feel ilke my only option is to Do fresh Install of Windows 7....sigh. That is why I wanted to come here and see if anyone knows how to fix this, if not I'll just do a fresh install of windows this evening.
