No files will work except

Oh dear, this is a dilemma.

You really need to find that disk or it may look like getting a new copy of XP Lollipop.
 
i found my disc while looking for a graphics card... my graphics card is only about 32-64mb, i need a 128 mb, does anybody know where to get one?
but, my disk wont work.
 
i put it in,i have to go to the disk drive in "my computer" and click it, then it loads and it has "install xp" and all those, but i click install xp,and nothing happens.
 
What you need to do is change the boot order in the bios to cdrom as first boot option, pop the XP disk in and save the changes by pressing F10.

When you see the message Press any key to boot from CD do so.

You will see this message again on subsequent reboots, PRESS NOTHING but just let it install.

thats all that pops up even when i click install xp. and i did what u did, and nothing happned.
 
What do you mean log on?

You need to get into the bios before windows starts by pressing F2 or Del or whatever key it says in the POST screen message.

For example it might say "Press Del to Enter Setup".

Setup is the bios.
