Hello,

Everytime I open my computer, the first thing I see is

NTLDR is missing
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart
_

Now everytime i restart the computer i always end up on the same screen!

how do i fix this? Please be easy on me, I never opened a pc before.

All i have

- Windows Xp Cd
- Floppy disk (empty)
- Screw drivers
- pop corn and coke

Please tell me how to fix this using the following tools i have??

if your computer is set to looking in the cd-rom drive for anything to boot it will boot with you even doing anything, so just pop the disc in the cd-rom drive and boot the pc.

ok guys remember when i turn on the pc, the first thing i see is

NTLDR is missing.

are you sure it will by pass that error when i reboot my pc with windows xp inside c drive?

just boot from the Windows XP cd and choose to repair the installation using recovery console
and type this is the console
fixboot
and then restart
it should work

Okay, i have the windows xp cd in the cd drive, I reboot computer and nothing is happening? it still shows me

NTLDR is missing
press cntrl+alt+delete to restart

I did that and i still ended up in the same error screen.

Please help?

you are going to have to go into the BIOS and change so it boots from cd-rom first. use the F1, F2, F8, F10 or DEL keys to get into the BIOS.

what do you mean nothing happens ?
like it didnt boot from the CD?
if so
go to the BIOS and set the first boot device to your CD drive
and then reboot with the CD in it
and press anykey to boot from the CD and then follow the steps i posted above
