Just want to share an issue I had when I installed Nvidia's new driver version 185.85 that was released on 6 May 2009.
So every couple months I check all drivers and see what updates there are. I installed this driver and all sorts of problems started. I thought at first maybe I selected the wrong driver and tried the entire process twice...same thing.
1. My computer starts folding upon startup, I GPU fold at 680MHz all the time and never had any issues. Temps stay in low and mid 60c range all the time. With the new driver I got artifacts as soon as it stated folding. I checked temps and they were in the mid 80c range
2. Tried to play Empire: Total War and it would crash as soon as it loaded. I messed with that for about an hour with no luck.
3. Call of Duty 4 crashed after about 2 minutes of play. Did this several times.
4. eVGA voltage tunner said "no supported products detected"
So I installed the older driver 182.50 and deleted the 185.85 version. Everything works perfect now
Has anybody else tried this new driver version? Anybody have issues with it?
