dual 680, 3072 cores, "Dual Vapor Chambers" with axial fan for silence at 3000rpm. Aluminum frame with name stamped in and glowing Geforce GTX on side that also dings when ready to beast.
Light on side?Cool.Ding?Awesome.Are you serious, dings? What do you mean dings when its ready to beast.Does it have to charge up before games? That was a very idiot question with the awser being no, im sure? So, why does it ding?
Just saw a pic of the card, its beast. But, i see no name on it, just a ring that looks like it might light up.1 fan?The gtx 590 had 2.....oh, wait, 1 fan and a watercooling chamber????!!!!Does it have to be refilled a lot?Can it simply be filled with water or some advanced watercooling setup?
Ha, saw that same pic just a 5 miutes ago, was typing my last post while you showed that one.Only 4 outputs? The 680 alone has 4 with hdmi and 2 dvis, the 690 has 4 with 3 dvis and a s video, if im not mistakin.Anything about ding,What?
it's a water vapor shamber, little bit of water in a closed loop that when hot will vaporize. And it dings once it is fully powered and all that, so when you turn on the pc it should. The 680 is stamped right in front of the expansion slot covers and the light up name is on the side.
Also reading an article, the supply will be a big thing, since they can't keep 680's stocked how'll they keep 690's with 2 680 cores? Hopefully they were holding 680 cores to make 690's causing the shortage but still.
Wow, so the GTX 690 is here. I want to slap NVIDIA. Nobody's really interested in this card, people with money and SENSE are more interested in the GTX 660/Ti and GTX 670. Why can't NVIDIA just release those? 1000 bucks for a graphics card is insane, I doubt the 690 will sell very well at all.
Not the intention, its a niche card, its priced the way that people that really want/need it will buy it. They will come out with the lower end cards later im sure, just right now they have the 680 chips avaliable, so this was a pretty straight forward move to me, slap two on a card, and call it a day
But then you'd have to use up two pci-e slots instead of one eh? Makes sense if you're paying for two gpu's, it's almost like getting two 680's for 500 a pop.
