its that simple. (based on benchmarks and FACTS, not fanboi'ism, not one company is better than the other, and as soon as someone says ATI is better than nvidia, or nvidia is better than ATI, someone hand him the STUPID hat.)

dp who know what the future holds buddy?, i would say that in the gpu market your comments will be acurate for about 3 months (if that ;))

Sure there is. The point is to annoy the admin enough that certain promotions are made....

as we clearly see in difrent game engines, openGL2.0 or directX9.0b-c
ATI will always be GOD of directX9.0 and dx10 when it is released
nVidia will always be GOD of openGL2.0, and 2.2 when its released

Sigh. Left yourself wide open on this one ... if you mean to suggest that a X300SE will outperform a 6800U in a DX9 game you are sorely mistaken -- afterall any ATi card will be God in DX9.

the rest of the nvidia cards were faster by nearly 20% in d3, only because the d3 engine was built and modified (when the core came out) around the NV40 and NV43 core.

Funny ... because Carmack said the engine was developed about the GeForce3 series.

that makes two of us. i think this whole topic is pointless. (fyi i meant d3, or OTHER openGL games, implying d3 engine is openGL which everyone knows., well, just a fyi)
 
Wasn't this supposed to originally be a "What do you prefer?" topic and not a "THIS CARD = BETTER THAN YOURS IT HAS 1341351/2524524525!!!" topic? Oh, I prefer nVidia, green is my favorite color...
 
well still thats kinda ridiculous, its not like when u compare an nvidia and an ati card it says

never tried nvidia and never had a problem with ATI, my x800xl plays bf2 on 1280x1024, all high settings except for 2 medium. I cant complain. I have never really tried pushing it any further, who knows.
