If it runs currently in an acceptable-to-you fashion then it should be fine as-is.

If it doesn't run acceptably to you, you have some upgrade room with it being on socket P, with upgrades being relatively inexpensive.

You can pull something like a T8300 (2.4 GHz, 3 MB L2) off of eBay for $6 shipped.

It should mean that the 6400 ram will run at pc2-5300 speeds. But, since it's pretty old hardware, I don't remember if those bios does this automatically or not.

Better off sticking to PC2-5300 as it's hit or miss whether PC2-6400 will work or not. Some machines are real picky.
