Replace the power supply with something else like an antec, seasonic or something. Theres better. Case is kinda small and mehish.
 
since you are getting a dedicated card, go with a motherboard without onboard video. take a look at this one.

cpu
same one only less money and slightly lower clock speed (nothing a slight, slight overclock can't remedy).

don't get that xfx. only 1 crossfire bridge and less power phases. try maybe this one. $130 after rebate or $145.

hdd

ram should be good or maybe go with this one.

i agree and disagree. it is sort of small but for those parts, it is big enough. nothing wrong with an antec 902. i have one and love it. but, you could maybe do better. i don't particulairly have experience with any other cases but the haf 932s do look pretty nice. check them out as well. i think the storm scout 690 or something like that is supposed to be a good one as well.

Ok I switched out my motherboard and hdd to what joh06937 suggested.

For the video card I was curious as to why only one crossfire bridge is bad? As for right now I am still leaning towards the XFX version because of the lifetime warranty and because there is a very small difference between the two cards. here is a link on how I came to this decision:

I am still deciding on the CPU, I am leaning towards the 3.4ghz version because I will probably OC it in the future so I figure I will get the extra $20.00 worth out of it.

As for the RAM, I decided to switch to the one joh06937 linked.

and I had already bought the corsair power supply because I was able to get it for half off before the discount expired.

hey i have nothing better to do :P

the cpus are actually (as far as i know) exactly the same, only one is clocked higher. i believe they come with the same heatsink so you might as well save a little money and get the 955 and just oc it a tiny bit (just my 2 cents i guess).

if you ever decide to do tri-fire, the xfx wouldn't be able to do it. yeah it isn't a very big deal, you probably won't ever tri-fire with it, there is a way around it, etc. i guess it really is up to you if you want to spend a little more for the lifetime warranty.
 
I just got done doing some minor research on the AMD Phenom II 955 and 965. It seems there is very little differences between the two and you may be correct as it may have been factory oc'd.
But the real difference, or at least the one that people are talking about is the amount of heat generated by the 965 limits the amount of oc'ing it can handle (4.0ghz is what people are saying is its limit) while the 955 can handle up to 3.7-3.8ghz oc'ing.

I also found this nice little piece of information which may or may not throw off some benchmarks and oc charts of the earlier version of the 965
"The good news is that in Q4 2009, AMD will have a new, 125W TDP version of Phenom II X4 965. Introduction of this part also means the imminent death of Phenom II 965 140W that will reach its last order status in late Q1 2010 which is unusually short product life cycle for a CPU."

I can give links to where I found this information but as I have 20+ tabs open on the matter atm it will be a bit of a pain : /

So back to my little predicament, now I am leaning towards the AMD Phenom II 955 3.2ghz 4 core, if i did get this I would immediately OC it to at least 3.4ghz and at the most 3.6/3.7ghz depending on the temp.
I have no experience OC'ing any CPUs and was wondering if this would shorten the life of the CPU or with proper cooling would it be ok?

Thats just in general, most C3 955 and 965 will clock about the same.

Thats pretty old news. All the 955/965 and 970 at newegg are the C3/GM stepping 125W models. The old C2 stepping were the 140W models.

Your better off getting the 955. If you want better dump the 965 and go for the 970, probably better yield core then either of the other two.

Dont know who told you all the 5770 XFX only has one crossfire bridge connector, but it has two. Doesnt really matter though, neither motherboard is even crossfire to start with., unless you run the second card on a X4 slot. (waste of time)

the xfx one isn't the same. it only has 1 bridge since they decided to make their own pcbs. but yeah, it isn't a big deal at all.

you shouldn't have any problems. the hardest part is putting on the thermal paste, and even that is pretty easy. not reason to worry at all.

The original XFX one were reference designs, the later ones are custom PCB's with only one CF connector and less power phases. they only make the custom PCB one now. kinda why i sold mine.
 
Well for starters Corsair just rebadges Seasonic/CWT/other units (along with some others) to make their high end units.

Maybe ask bomber or bigfellla, they could tell you more than i can.
