I have an Intel core 2 duo E6550 mounted on a MSI P6N Sli platinum mobo.
I am looking to over clock but am confused by the new option I have never seen on a board before. In my Bios I see the following option in Cell menu which is for overclocking and voltage controls.
D.O.T control Enable/disable?
Intel EIST Enable/Disable?
System Clock Linked/auto/manual?
FSB Clock 1333 (default)
Memory clock 800 (default)
Cpu Ratio 6 or 7 (7) default
What do all these controls mean and how should I go about over clocking?
I don't understand the complete relationship between the fsb, memory, and final outcome Ghz of the processor.
Final queston is there any programs to run in windows to overclock with my chipset?
P.S I have 6 case fans and stock cpu hsf.
