pc problem

Hi,

my problem recently appear when I play games my pc totaly freeze or only the display of my screen become black and I can still hear the game and voice chat with friends and need to force manually the restart by pressing the restart botton... I dont know what is the problem (no virus I done a clean reinstall of my os and still the problem is there) but I guess is my grpahic card the problem is this can be possible? ask for my system spec if needed
 
sounds like a card issue. i have had a good game going and the drivers crash or something and the whole thing restarted. other than that i'm not sure. what video card to you have? and what game are you playing.(im sure someone is gonna ask)
 
I have the radeon 4890 with the ati 10.2, the crash happen randomly on crysis, alot on fear combat, 1 time on far cry 2(I dont play it anymore that why, 1 time on gta4(I have not played it again). and my pc dont restart I make my pc restart when this happen because my screen become totally black and so cant see anything so I restart myself my pc
 
please I need help to know what is the problem, because I want to solve this. If is the grpahic card the problem I will buy a radeon 5850 if not tell me what cna be the problem please
 
Could either be the card or your power supply isn't powerful enough to run it. What power supply do you have?
 
someone said is cna be my ram or the motherboard the problem is that true? is that problem possibly look like a rma or motherboard problem? or someone know a good gpu stress test work with ati gpu?
