piraty.com from going to google.com?

I typed in google.com and then it went to piraty.com. I must have a virus. I guess it's time for a format. Anyone heard of this?

Someone may have just edited your HOSTS file so every time you enter google.com it redirects you to piraty.com.

Google it.

Oh wait, you can't :p Have a read here and see if that's the case...

i forgot to say this isn't my computer it's my sisters and it runs windows 7 is that the same?
btw the google works. the first time I typed it in though that's where it redirected. it worked after that first time.

yes it remove backdoor.bot and svc...?.exe

Please post the log from malwarebytes' and;

Download the HostsXpert.

  • Extract the HostsXpert.zip by doing the following:
    • Right-click HostsXpert.zip and select extract all – Follow the wizard and extract it to your Desktop
    • Click Finish, double-click the HostsXpert folder and then double-click HostsXpert.exe
  • Press Restore MS Hosts File and press OK.
  • Exit the program.
Note: if you were using a custom Hosts file you will need to replace any of those entries yourself.

here is the malwarebytes log

it says there's an error when i try to restore ms host file.
