please help select my pc

hello all...i am currently looking to build a new computer, which will be used for primarily audio and video conversion, as well as some light gaming with racing games being the focus. i will need a complete system, including lcd and a descent case as well as wireless keyboard and mouse (but not nessecary)...my budget is $650, maxed at $700 including shipping costs...i am in michigan as well...i know its a tight budget, but lets see what the computer forum brings me...thanks for the replies

That is a nice build, as for a PSU, I would recommend this. Maybe he should go with a full ATX board though, I like your build Nevakonaza, I might change a few things though.

The LCD monitor is going to kill that budget though. But I like that draft build. Very nice.

thanks for all the help. you dont think i should go ith amd instead since their new cpus are coming out soon and i will beable to upgrade to it later with a current am2 board? i will just use the crt for now...good idea, that way i can use all my budget on my pc. if everyone thinks i should do a intel then...alright i guess. i do not need ram though cause i already have 2 gigs of ddr2-667 kingston. and i might go with a different case for maybe a little cheaper, and a different board that is regular atx and has a different chipset other than via (i dont like them). but so far this sounds promising...thank you all again so much and any final thoughts about this thread is welcome
