ok so i apologize in advance for this being a long post but i really need some help here... any feedback would be great.
so i have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse and the other day i turned on my computer and it said it wanted to check for updates and found some and started downloading them... i came back a while later and the computer was completely hung, nothing i did could get it unfrozen so i restarted it. then it wanted to do a chkdsk when it started up and it couldn't make it through and kept saying some error message. but i fixed that by using the recovery on my xp disk. now it will start. but then when it started up my wireless keyboard and mouse weren't working so i had to break out the old wired guys. also it gave me an error message of 'enumerate win32 cdrom drive fail' or something like that and i couldn't see my dvd drive. i read somewhere pc probe might have something to do with it (which i had run on start-up) so i unistalled it and now it will boot without that error message, but I still can't see my dvd drive. so i really have no idea what to try.... ideally i'd like to get my dvd drive working again and my wireless keyboard and mouse back up but i'm out of ideas.
thanks to those of you who made it through this... any help would be great.
