PLZ will these specs play quake 4

CPU is perfectly FINE, you "might" be able to play on lowest settings but i have no clue, a 5200 could play it, but a 6200 would be the the minimaun if you can. but you will want at LEAST 512mb for RAM, but 1GB would be best

Not being rude at all, I just dont think that anything in that PC is Quake 4 worthy.

Remeber that the prosesor is a sempron (the celeron of amd) and becuase of that it puts even more stess (performance wise) on the rest of the computer, then say a AMD XP or a X2.

Hehe for Q4? That is a big no no.

system hardware

is

pIII 800mhz but got a AMD Sempron 3000+ with 128kb cache operates at 18000MHZ

normal soundcard (nothing special)

Geforce 4 mx440 (AGP)

192mb of ram

oh and it is quite confusing so plz put it in better context

You still have to explain what it is your running. What does the P3 got to do with this?

thats my processor spped what du u want for my specs

can u at least tell me a list of cards that are really good and will play Q4,

whos has played q4 on their pc and what graphics have ya got

well minimum meaning to run, not to run nice.
Looks like you need a completly new system.
no this is not always, sometimes u can run games under the minimum, DOOM 3 needs 384 MB ram as minimum, but i used to run it on my old system which has 256MB ram and it runs fine, just the loading time was little slow, but the game runs good, so i think quake 4 will run fine without problems, if u have 512 MB ram.

fx5200 will run quake 4 fine at low/mid setting, because in my old system i had fx 5200 and i could run doom3 at 640x480 on high setting, and it was playable.
i think 6200 with could run quake4 on 800x600 on high setting without problems, and if have 6600vanilla (like the on i have), u could run it on 1024x786 with high setting , and it will run very very smooth.

Christian Darrall you have started numerous threads on the same topic, they will be closed. Please use this thread for your further posts on the topic.

i bought the NVIDIA GEFORCE 6800GT 256MB DDR3 TV-OUT/DUAL DVI PCI-E

but its a pci express whats that, can sum 1 show me a pic of it on a mb

Also, earlier in this thread you state your current machine is a P3 800. If thats true you have problems, to be honest a complete upgrade of your computer is in order if you want to run Q4, and the new 6800GT PCIe you claim to have bought (and the Sempron CPU you also mentioned).

Your posts confuse me, to say the least...

thanxx i bought the sempron cpu just waiting for the mb to come through the post

is this any good for it

Hightech ATI Radeon 9250 128MB 64bit AGP

Hightech ATI Radeon 9250 128MB 64bit AGP is not good at all, get at least 128MB 6600GT, it is not more than 140$ and it could play it on high setting.

Well, a 6200 Prob couldnt play quake 4, and the FX5200 is a long way down the chain of nVidia cards.

Id look at a 6600GT at LEAST.

what else can i get

the guy who selling it says "This is a great video card and I have used it for playing Call Of Duty 2 and Half Life 2 with no problems"

Well hes teling you lies then.

EDIT: You could get a 6600GT, 6800GT/Ultra, 7800GT (I think thats on AGP now)
