Possibly upgrading processor need help picking.

It basically make an exact copy of one drive to another.

The best software is acronis true image 2013 but it cost`s £40, you can get the freeware equivalent which is macrium reflect http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

I dont understand, when I plug in my external harddrive it gives me 2 options. I can either make a backup or make an image of my computer.
So why would I need software for image coping when my computer already has the option?

If there both Seagate drives just use Seagate Disk Wizard.

By what you wrote it seems you are assuming I already have multiple harddrives.
Which I dont. I was talking about maybe getting a couple drives, raiding them and sticking my old harddrive memory to the new raided drives.

I havent obtained multiple harddrives to raid yet. that might not happen for a few weeks yet.

As for the seagate wizard, I dont have such a software. If it is something that comes with seagate harddrives mine didnt come with it. Probably because its the stock harddrive of my original computer that ive been upgrading piece by piece.

If you're looking into cloning, check out the guide in my sig. ;) I usually use Clonezilla, which is free and works great. As far as your CPU upgrade, I would go with the 3770k; it's nearly identical to the Xeon, and the Xeon is definitely not worth the extra price for a desktop build. If you have some extra cash, perhaps you could spend it on one of these little beasts :):

Now thats a pretty harddrive. Might get that in a few weeks after I get my computer back to working order.
Definitely was looking at mech drives that are above 7200 rpms.
