I just recently bought an AMD 3400+ Socket 939 from Newegg and it came in with 3 pins bent.. I tried to straighten them out as much as I could and I put the processor in the slot.
When I boot up my computer it goes to the screen where it says windows was not shut down properly.. Boot in safe mode or start windows normally (you guys know the screen) when I press start windows normally the screen turns black and the computer restarts itself..
Could this be a problem with the bent pins on the cpu or is that completely unrelated??
Edited: I took the heatsink+fan back off and looked at the pins again and it seems there is actually one missing now but the 3 I had to straighten back up are fine, call customer support?
