HI,
I recieved a computer to fix tonight where the os xp home edition system files were corrupt. I tried to use my xp home edition cd but use the product key that is labeled on the a sticker on the side of the computer that needs fixing. It didn't work. I did this only once before and it worked. I'm curious as to why it didn't work. Don't all computer repair shops have a copy of all the os's and when they need to do an install/repair they use there own cd's but use the owners product key labeled on the computers they are fixing.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me please....thank you.soda
