Quad Core Processors...

the benchmark probably didn't have enough threads to differentiate

a q6600 is two e6600's on the same chip

there just aren't many multi-threaded programs for windows, let alone quad-thread programs

but that's not to say you couldn't run 4 single-threaded programs just as fast as you could run one

the q6600's gonna be $550 in a month or so, it'd be worth the wait

The QX6700 has a bit higher speed then the E6600, has unlocked multipliers, and is a quad-core.

The only reason the Q6600 may perform about the same as the E6600 in some benchmarks is because they weren't multi-threaded.

The 8800GTS (any model) will handle DX10 fine, with great FPS. However there is no games yet to test this theory, but believe me the 8800GTS is one great card. It wont be ALOT slower then a GTX.

But the lack of memory of the 320mb model will make it harder for it to excel in games at high resolutions and big textures.
