The benchmarks show the Q6600 on the same level as the E6600... weird?

are you saying instead of buying the quadcore you could just get the e6600 for cheaper and it will have the same performance?
the benchmark probably didn't have enough threads to differentiate
a q6600 is two e6600's on the same chip
there just aren't many multi-threaded programs for windows, let alone quad-thread programs
but that's not to say you couldn't run 4 single-threaded programs just as fast as you could run one
the q6600's gonna be $550 in a month or so, it'd be worth the wait

about the same if u overclock the quad core but get the quad core its more future proof

A bit off topic, but why does your sig say that the 320MB 8800GTS cant fully take advantage of DX10?

The 8800GTS (any model) will handle DX10 fine, with great FPS. However there is no games yet to test this theory, but believe me the 8800GTS is one great card. It wont be ALOT slower then a GTX.

But the lack of memory of the 320mb model will make it harder for it to excel in games at high resolutions and big textures.

That has nothing to do with not being able to take full advantage of DX10.
