Query on what cpu to use

I run my own computer business but unsure what to use for a budget machine.

1. Amd A4 2.5ghz
2.Intel celeron 2.5ghz

I'm bothered because they are both slow i reckon and will struggle to run win 7 at any good speed but this is going to be a pc at £199

As i have a phenom 9950 x4 processor and i replaced it for my 2.5 dual core intel and is about twice as fast

Intel does have better performance. They're just more expensive. I don't need a crazy fast CPU myself so AMD is perfectly fine for me.

the celeron g530 or whatever if that is what you are referring to is a very capable processor. It is very capable and kills the e2210 i have in one of my computers and that pc runs fine really as long as you aren't trying to do something cpu intensive.

The G530 is a great processor. Don't know about most, but on mine I ran it under volted to .950 V and it was rock solid. Ran cold on the intel heatsink. Probably would not reach 30* on the 212 EVO. It should be ablout equal to a C2D @ 3GHz.

I have a G530 machine but doesn't run great on windows XP thats why i am concerned as it's going to be to slow to make a smooth working everyday computer

No offense, but having ran it myself, you are not having a CPU issue. You may not have enough RAM or other system issues. The G530 is a strong little processor (equal to a C2D @ 3GHz). It is not the issue.
