Hi Guys, I have an 80 gig internal HD for backups only. I just noticed that I only have 7.93gb open. When I checked for what files is using up the space, it seems there are two VHD files. One=45,070Kb and another=41,014,884...
(dots are included and no indication of Kb or Gb) Then there are some other small XML files ranging from 2kb to 12kb except for one of 2778kb. Those size files seem reasonable. But what is a VHD file? Surely Win 7 doesn't take up 76.6gb for backup?????
What can I do to reduce the amount on this HD so I don't run out of room for backup? The only thing that came up for old files to increase space on the drive was one 10gb file with date from Jan 2014-Mar 2014.
Can I delete that huge file without screwing up my backup? I thought backups were supposed to compress when you send it to another drive.
Any ideas as to what the huge VHD file is?
Advice?
