I probably will get the 9800, so you can be totally honest.![]()
I dunno. Maybe you sell 9800 but knows 9600 are better?Praetor said:Why wouldnt I be honest??![]()
They can (be softmodded)? I wouldnt think so because the XT has a auto-oc feature -- which is all hardware -- and unless you have some spare programmable ASIC stuff lying around (and some solder) that wont be happening ...correct me if im wrongthe 9800pros have a 350 or a 360 core or whatever but they are able to be flashed to a makeshift xt which is relatively more than the 9600 can do
Provided the clock is the only limitation than yes that would be a decent steal.now this is interesting...same 9800PRO, r350core, 128mb card...but its 128 bit. so a little crippled...but a steal for under $160 isnt it? its actually cheaper than a 9600PRO
What kinda cracked out logic is that?? If people want a system I build it for them -- to spec -- meaning if they wanna try a TNT and Athlon FX53 setup then thats what they get -- regardless, the 9800s typically give more profit than the 9600. The reason I made the comment about the 9800 is that it get's nailed by the price targeting of the 5900XT and the 6800 ... there's almost no reason to get the 9800 anymore:I dunno. Maybe you sell 9800 but knows 9600 are better?

Depends on the make of the memory. Unlike nVidia cards (which use the same memory spec for their low end cards as their high end cards provided they run the same generation) .. ATi cards have specifically matched memory to model ... which means that depending on the card you might get poopier memory380/600 stead of 380/680...not a bad gap...probably easily caught up to
