RAM Issues

Hello everyone, I hope this is the correct place to post (as I am a new member of this forum and this is my first post:)).
I bought yesterday a new RAM kit for my computer, and it appears I have a problem of the beeping kind.
the RAM I bought is 8 Gig (4*2) sticks Kingstone 1600 cl 10, as I installed it in to may computer It wont boot and beeps repeatedly (typical RAM problem). the only difference between my old sticks and the new ones besides the capacity and the model name is that the new sticks are UDIMM vs the old DIMM sticks.

Google told me that UDIMM and DIMM are compatible with each other and all good as long as I do not use RDIMM.

now the problem is : I know that my M.Board that supports DIMM should support UDIMM but my computer still wont start and I am really confused and obviously missing something (probably more than one thing:confused:)

thank you for reading this article about how my computer do not work , and I will be really happy if someone could explain me where I am wrong and what I Miss :D.

Can you post model numbers of the ram you bought? Make and model of computer you have or model of motherboard if its custom built.

The RAM is: kingston hyperx hx316c10fk2/8 and my motherboard is: gigabyte p43t-es3g.
my old ram is : 2 * kingston hyperx KHX1600C9AD3B1/2G

I'm assuming "u" just means unbuffered which is what you want. You definitely don't want ecc ram. I would assume you just have a bad stick of ram. Try only using stick and see what happens. You may need to reset the cos as well.

I tried to run it with one stick and then with the other (one at a time) if that what you mean , same result.
as far as I know the new sticks are not ecc (at least it isn't stated anywhere) and what is "COS" and how can I reset It?

Sorry, I meant cmos/bios settings. Usually you do this by unplugging power from power supply and remove the little battery that is on your motherboard, then press and hold the power button on your case for 10 seconds then wait 10 minutes, then reinsert battery and reconnect power cord and try booting up.

Not working, unplugged , remove , pressed ...
looks like it its bad ram after all , oh well.
thanks for your advice much appreciated.

one thing bothers me could I some how accidentally destroy that ram ?
I mean it's brand new and both sticks are bad, plugged them with my old ram which is higher voltage, if not is it okay to combine ram with different voltages ?
