Help : Example of usage

ive just run furmark for several mins, it got 10fps and the temp leveled out at 72 and had no problems handling it at all, so i dont think its the graphics card.

Ok, so for one thing you're running a AMD card on an nvidia chipset, and although it is technically fine, it was common back in those days to get problems. I would replace (if you can ) the card with something like a GTX750Ti, which will game at 1080p well, and is around 150 bucks.

In the meantime go here and make sure you chipset drivers is updated http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Also update directX here http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=35

Update Windows

Shutdown computer, remove a RAM module and review it. Either note down its model number or if it has the frequency and voltage on the label then note that down instead. Go into the BIOS and ensure that the ram frequency and voltage is set correctly.

ive only had this graphics card for a few months, I got it cos it was on sale, I can't afford to buy another one. I can't do anything that requires spending any money. I have zero income and I'm running out of food as it is.

windows is up to date, theres nothing else in the updater to get.

I thought dircetx 11 was the latest one? I only checked a couple of weeks ago.

will do the ram check tomorrow, I'm in bed now.

its been running streamed films just fine at 60fps for about 7 straight hours today and had no issues, it also took the furmark test easy. it seams like its only doing it in games and I'm sure all these other things would have caused it to crash if it was the graphics card.

Did you update the nvidia software? I do think that unless your RAM is set incorrectly in the bios, you are experiencing a conflict between the nvidia chipset and AMD gpu. The PSU was always going to be needed.

I understand you don't have spare case. Do you have a OS disk. I can walk you through the back up and resinstall pathway. I believe that may be best.

not had a chance to do anything yet, I'm in the UK so ive just woken up. will get to it in a bit, I can do a reinstall, done it plenty of times, its just takes forever!

it worked for months as it is, I put a new hard drive in end of last year, so it might be something to do with software, but y would it wait 3-4 months before playing up?

it could be the ram, as thats not original either, will check it out today.

sorry about double posts, this POS tablet wont let me edit anything.

well updating the chipset didnt help, ive managed to get the voltage of 1.8 but cant find the frequency anywhere.

i cant find any settings in the bios for the ram, ive found where it tells me how much ram there is, bit they are ghosted out and i cant do anything with them. ive been through the whole of my bios and cant find it anywhere. am i missing something here?
