skidude- i have 6600 and i run HL2 at 1024x768 with highest setting, and i run FEAR on 1024x768 with medium setting, and for me FEAR blows up HL2 i terms of graphics. and don't forget that i couldn't run FEAR on highest setting, if u run both games on highest setting, HL2 will not match FEAR graphics in anything

Yeah, well you can't expect good picture and look on such a small resolution. Try it on 1900x1600 or 1600x1200 then talk.maroon1 said:HL2 graphics are not that good

Ya, i have the settings on highest and i get around 38 fps (1024 x 768, but i have shadows turned all the way down. Even with that, there are still shadows on the road and car.elmarcorulz said:The new need for speed game has amazing graphics.

F.E.A.R.= Low polygon count, crappy texture, best effects in the world that make up for it
Thats just MHO, but I think the textures in F.E.A.R suck. Half life 2 feels like your in the real world, F.E.A.R is just cool because of all the sparks and blood and shit, but the immersion factor isnt there as much. I think F.E.A.R's graphics are second to HL2.
