Reasonable OC a64 3000 Venice without aftermarket cooling

That is really strange janus.I have pc3200 ram and its cheap crap....... I found that when i turned down ram frequencies that i could get another 300 mhz from my cpu...

put the Memory index value to 100MHz first. not you can put up the fsb of the CPU
( or however its called,. anyway, that value is at 200MHz stock. )
you can put it up. however, the RAM will speed up then to.
but if you set it to 100MHz first, that shouldnt be a problem.
( ive put the fsb of my brothers pc to 300MHz ( so the CPU went to 2.7GHz )
and the RAM was at 150MHz then. then i putted the Memory index value to 133MHz, wich almost gave me the full 400MHz back in windows.
(i can set it to 166MHz, then the RAM runs at 450MHz in windows. it boots then.. but everest keeps crashing on the memory benchmarking them :( )
anyhow. you have to put up the CPU voltage a bit. and probably the RAM voltage. (i had to set it from 2.7V to 2.8V.
