Recall on all Sandy Bridge Motherboards

    I know there have been major faults in design, but full recalls, I can't think of any of the top of my head. There have been recalls of other things, like the Dell laptop batteries a few years ago where they recalled something daft like 4 million batteries because they would overheat and set on fire

    I am still a little foggy on this situation. Is the recall on the motherboards or the processors? And should we just expect to hear from the company about the recall if we registered them, or what do we do if we just purchased these?

    its on the motherboards. The issue is with the Sata II ports.

    They are not doing a full recall anymore. They are going to allow partners to ship units if not affected. Kinda means one HDD units. Both would be SATA 3.0 or as Strangle likes to say SATA 6.0?
