Hi,
I am going to be building a system soon, and to start off with im getting a Point of View GeForce 6200A 256MB 64Bit. What good AGP Card can you reccomend ti Upgrade to once i have the cash?

Not possible without knowing your budget mate.

BTW if you haven't already got that 6200 crap why waste money on it? Save money first then buy something decent.

High end- ATI X850XT PE

Lower end- Either a radeon 9800 or a geforce FX 5550 (or something like that)

I need to get this built so i cant save up anymore money, dont have time. I wont be upgarding the Graphics untill next year probalbly, and anything will be an impovement over my laptop.

Holy Shit! £340 For the ATI X850XT PE! I thought AGP card were cheaper than Pce-e Cards! This thing must rule if it costs that much?? How about something mid-end?

the 9800 is way better (especially the PRO) then the FX5500, i had that at first and it sucked, only got like 1500 in 3dmark03 :(. I would save up some money and get at least a x800, 9800pro, or 6600gt.

Yes, get that one, an X800 XT is way better than the 9800PRO, just get that one, that is basically the mid range option here.:)

Either a radeon 9800 or a 6600 had been more fair. :)

Dunno if you've noticed but... no they don't.

umm... really didn't know that, well of course cuz nvidia released new generation gpu (7800), but when ATI release it, they will be more powerfull, nvidia is (my opinion) stupid, and that proofs the 5xxx series which are really bad cards

EDIT:
The New ATI Graphics Cards Will Be Names The Following:-

X1800 which is based on the R520 VPU.
X1600 which is their mid range SKU based on RV530.
X1300 is their low-end SKU based on RV515.

(Rumor Of A Mobile Version Called The X1400 is still a rumour)

Interestingly, there are 16, 24 and 32 pipes versions

The core clock of the card is 650Mhz+ and memory at 1400Mhz. The R520 card uses 1.26ns GDDR3 memories. The 32 pipes R520 performance will exceed the GeForce 7800GTX.

The release date is the first week of October.

I've seen reviews of the R520 core (X1800 model), and it does not beat the 7800GTX. Good try though - http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/article/1813.1/

correct me if im wrong, but isnt the 6800GT better then all ATi Cards? if so, then that means nVidia has out a few better cards then ATi, the 6800GT, 6800Ultra, 7800GT, and the 7800GTX..... and just so you know, nVidia is holding back on the 7800GTX, its obvious that they are waiting for ATi's new card to come out, then they release the new card with some crazy ass stock settings that block away the new ATi card overclocked to the max..... im not saying this as a fanboy as i have a 9600 in my lappy and i love it :D

Not bad AGP cards

Well if your looking for an alright graphics card in a not too high price range i would probably say one of these:

AGP:
Radeon 128MB 9800 Pro ICEQ
Radeon 256MB X800SE
Nvidia 128MB 6600GT
Nvidia 128MB 6800LE

These graphic cards are pretty good for their Price, they are all under $AU 300, except for the X800SE thats just a little bit over $300.
