removing laptop screen from a broken laptop

Is it possible to use a laptop screen with another computer after removing it from a broken computer? Thanks

Im not trying to replace the screen, I want to use it as a second monitor for the other laptop. The broken computer is a gateway solo. I dont know the exact model but i got it in 99. The other laptop i have is a toshiba sattellite.

i would say no. the connector for laptop monitors are different from the standard dsub and dvi connectors.
