Repladed LCD

I just replaced the LCD on my laptop, but now windows won’t startup. I keep getting the following message:

“Windows did not start successfully, the reason a hardware or software change may have caused this.” It gives me the following options:
Safe mode
Safe mode with Networking
Safe mode with command prompt
Last known good configuration
Start windows normally

I tried them all and still windows does not start up. On a couple of the options I see a bunch of lines that say something like: multi disk partition windows system 32 drivers. There are some forward slashes in between the words and I believe all the lines end with the word “drivers”. They go by real fast so they are hard to see. It just keeps going to the message above “Windows did not start successfully, the reason a software or hardware change may have caused this” etc…

Any ideas what I can do? Any suggestions are appreciated. I used the original LDC Data cable and the bulb cable. The LCD appears to work fine; it's just windows won’t start up.

Is there anything on the HD you really must have? I would just reinstal the operating system.
 
I can't seem to find the windows xp cd that came with my laptop. I only have windows xp cd that bought for my desktop. Does this mean that I have to buy another windows xp cd? What are my options? Also, if and when I reinstall windows, after I insert the cd in the cdrom, what commands do I enter? Any help is appreciated.

well u can get a copy of windows xp and use ur serial no if you have it, i think that could be legit. Insert the cd after turning the pc on and wait for setup startup. Then follow the instructions.
 
Well if you have your XP CD for desktop, it should also work. as long as you have your Serial number.
 
Windows XP Serial

Don't have the serial number for xp. I guess I am out of luck. Would a startup disk help me in anyway?

well i don't know if there is a way if you have authenticated your windows with microsoft and it is registered under your name you could get it.
