Hi guys,
I'm a bit of a newbie here so hope its ok to post this here.
I know the web is bursting with answers similar to my question, but I want to see what you guys think of my situation.
A few years ago, when i was very young, and innocent to backing things up, I was unfortunate enough to get a virus. A friend of mine told me to reformat the laptop, so I did. Not realising the effect it would have.
I lost everything, rare music and special photos. Although I have since gotten over the loss of most of the stuff,
there is a few things I would love to retrieve. (Mainly just a few photographs of a concert I was at, and loved ones that have since passed
). I continued to use the laptop not realising that there might have been a hope for me to get these things back. I put all the programs back
in and used up alot of the harddrive space. Then the computer died. Because of its age, i didn't
feel it was worth the money to get it fixed, and i hadn't time to fix it due to heavy school workload,
which I needed a computer for.
Then yesterday for some reason, I decided to research about it a bit more. I don't know why, but I'm hopeful that maybe I can get some of my things back.
I was wondering if it would be worth my while getting the laptop repaired to try and get some files back?
Am I clutching at straws, or is there any chance?
Thank you in advance.
